Are you worried about the global warming? Do you wonder about how you can contribute to reduce your climate impact? These were the exact questions that Håkan Swan and a friend were pondering when driving home from an ice climbing weekend in Rjukan, Norway. How bad was it for the climate to take the car to Norway? How much CO2e did we emit during the roadtrip? Can you compensate by not eating meat for a week? Or for a month? Or a year? When searching the internet for answers, they realised that no useful answers could be found. Håkan realised that there must be more people asking the same questions. Something had to be done. By coincidence, he bumped into an old business colleague, Fredrik Hedström, who had similar thoughts. Together, they started the company Habits, previously ClimateSaver. Shortly thereafter, Mattias Twedmark joined the company. Over time, more people that believe in the vision have joined in. Together we have developed a service and corresponding web-app tool to reduce the climate impact of people and organisations.
Changing habits is difficult and doing everything to become “climate smart” is almost impossible. But it is important to do something. When using Habits you get help and motivation. We want to help you understand your current climate impact and to take conscious decisions and steps to reduce it, habit by habit. We make it easy and fun to reduce your climate impact.
We are in the beginning of our journey. We have lots of ideas that we want to realise. By using Habits services and tools you support us in our work to improve our offer.
